A Bradford man who reached the semi-finals of the TV music competition the X Factor has appeared in court charged with child sex charges.
Danny Tetley, 38, of St Enoch’s Road, Wibsey, appeared at Bradford Crown Court via video link following child sex abuse allegations - he spoke only to confirm his name.
Tetley handed himself in to police earlier this year and was remanded in custody to face trial at Bradford Crown Court.
The Benidorm performer garnered local fame after he appeared on the national music talent show, the X Factor, where he eventually reached the live shows and finished the competition in sixth place.
The charges he is faced with are: engaging in sexual communication with a child; five counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity; four counts of possessing indecent images of children; sexual exploitation of a child and one count of committing an act to or attempt to pervert the course of justice.
He is also accused of making 27 category A indecent images of a child, 129 category B images and 129 category C images of children.
All the charges he faces are alleged to have occurred throughout this year.
