A Bradford woman has been jailed for two years and eight months following a series of targeted break-ins and burglaries against vulnerable and elderly people.
Martina Feriova, 38, of Amberley Court, Bradford Moor, appeared at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday after she carried out a series of burglaries in an attempt to fund her £500 per week drug habit.
She pleaded guilty to an offence at The Links care home in Kismet Gardens, Bradford, and five burglaries at Hazelhurst Court on Leeds Road.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Feriova had targeted several old age victims, repeatedly breaking into a residential complex for elderly and disabled people, as well as a care home as part of a three-month burglary spree.
Following the break ins, prosecutor Alisha Kaye said the residents were left feeling upset and unsafe, with some wanting to move home and others left feeling frightened to go out.
In sentencing, Judge Jonathan Rose sentenced Feriova to two years and eight months in prison, as well as imposing an order banning her from going near the burgled premises.
