A wildlife charity has received extra funding to implement projects in Bradford.
The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has been given a cash injection of around £25,000 from Bradford Council and the People’s Postcode Lottery to work with residents in the Leeds and Bradford Urban Engagement project.
The scheme will last 12 months and aims to work with local people to establish how to improve access to green spaces, and educate communities about the benefits of the natural world.
Events will run in local parks and green spaces to help identify areas for improvement.
