Bradford is to consider a bid to become the 2025 UK City of Culture.
Council bosses have said they will consider making a bid after seeing the success of Hull’s year as the current City of Culture.
It is believed the council did not want to put Bradford forward for the honour in 2021, as the title, which is bestowed every four years, is unlikely to be awarded to two Yorkshire cities in a row.
