The arts sector in Bradford is set to receive a £7m funding boost.
The Arts Council England published its funding plans for 2018 to 2022 yesterday, 27 June, pledging extra cash that will see a 65 per cent increase for the district.
The boost for the area is part of The Arts Council’s decision to spread funding outside of London.
The funding in Bradford will go to 11 organisations, including Bradford's Impressions Gallery, south Asian arts organisation Kala Sangam and Ilkley Literature Festival.
Also included is the Common Wealth Theatre, Bradford Literature Festival and The Brontë Society.
