A Bradford mum has been jailed for perverting the course of justice after she lied to officers investigating a speeding offence.
Lincoln Crown Court heard that 33 year old Shamila Kauser, lied when she confirmed to Lincolnshire Police her husband’s claim that another woman was the driver caught by a speed camera travelling at 81mph in a 70mph limit section of the A1 northbound at Barrowby Thorns near Grantham.
Kauser, of Allerton Grange Drive, Allerton, Bradford, admitted perverting the course of justice and was jailed for 18 weeks.
