A Bradford man, aged 22, has been remanded in custody, awaiting a lengthy prison sentence, after firing a double-barrelled shotgun at a house in the district.
Appearing at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, Sean Durrant, of Dick Lane, Tyersal, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The incident occurred on July 20 last year, when Durrant opened fire at a house on Belmont Avenue, Low Moor, Bradofrd.
He was remanded back into custody and is due to be sentenced on February 6.
Judge Jonathan Rose adjourned the matter for a report from the probation service, stating the case was “exceptionally serious” and Durrant did not have a large number of convictions.
Addressing Durrant, Judge Rose warned the defendant of the severity of the sentence he will be hit with, saying: “A substantial custodial sentence will be imposed for this offence.”
