A report to Bradford Council’s Executive will outline how Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is being tackled across the district.
The report outlines initiatives that are being undertaken to highlight awareness of CSE across the Bradford District. These are underpinned by a nine-point plan which was first adopted by the Council and its partners in 2014 and is reviewed annually.
The nine-point plan is a strategic approach which pools partnership resources from agencies across the district and which is child, young person and victim focused.
The council and its partners believe a reported rise in referrals reflects an increased awareness of the need to report and prevent CSE happening in the district.
The report highlights a number of initiatives being taken to tackle CSE, including the first conference to take place in the district on the challenges that the internet presents to safeguarding children and young people.
