Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted rape in a Salford park.
At around 12.10am on Sunday 19 November police were called after a 20-year-old woman reported that two men had attempted to rape her in Albert Park on Grecian Street, Salford.
The woman had been in the park when two men approached her asking for a light for their cigarette. She offered them a lighter and was then followed out of the park by the men who then attacked and attempted to rape her.
The woman managed to fight off the men and ran to safety.
