An attack in Bolton left a man with punctured lungs.
Shortly before 9.15pm on Tuesday, 24 October, police were called to a café on Manchester Road near to the junction with Croft Lane in Bolton to reports of an assault.
On arrival, officers found a 45-year-old man with breathing difficulties and serious chest injuries who had been assaulted by a group of men with iron bars.
He was taken to hospital where it was discovered he had collapsed lungs and now remains in a serious but stable condition.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
