Police are appealing for information after a man suffered serious injuries to his face and hand in an assault outside a takeaway restaurant in Cleckheaton.
The assault happened outside the Spicy Delight takeaway in Bradford Road between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, 16 April. The 48-year-old victim required hospital treatment for injuries to his face and potentially life-changing injuries to one of his hands.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his early 20s, around 6ft tall, of stocky build with brown 'short back and sides' style hair. He was wearing a white shirt. He was in the company of a similar aged white woman, roughly 5ft tall with shoulder length brown hair.
PC Kirsten Ford, of Kirklees District CID, said: "The victim has suffered serious injuries, particularly to his hand which he may have permanent limited movement of. We are keen to speak to anyone who has seen this assault or the circumstances leading up to it.
"Anyone with information is asked to make contact with myself in Kirklees CID via 101, quoting crime reference 13160163377."
