An appeal has been launched after an elderly woman was robbed in her own home in Wigan.
At around 8.20pm on 24 October, police were called to Hamilton Square to reports of a robbery.
The victim, an 89-year-old woman, heard a knock at the door and opened it slightly to see who was outside.
The offender then pushed through the door and forced the woman out of the way, knocking her onto the floor.
The man then went into her bedroom, where he took her handbag which contained some valuables.
As he left the house, he hit the victim in the face with the stolen handbag.
