Police in Halifax are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision near the Town Centre on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 5.55am on Saturday July 30, on Cow Green near to the junction of Silver Street as a 20-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was in collision with a blue Citroen C2. The woman received a number of serious facial injuries.
The woman was treated by paramedics and taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and drove off towards Pellon Lane.
PC Barron of the Safer Roads and Neighbourhoods Support Team West said; "I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and who may have seen the vehicle immediately after the collision or who has any information about the identity of the driver to come forward. I would also appeal directly to the driver of the blue Citroen C2 to come forward to police. Enquiries are ongoing."
