Police are appealing for information after a shop in Hindley was robbed for the second time.
At around 9.40pm on 20 September, police were called to reports of an attempted robbery at a McColls shop on Atherton Road.
Two men had entered the shop carrying claw hammers, threatening staff and asking them to give them money from the till.
When the offenders were told there was no money, they left the store and fled.
Less than a month later, at 9.30pm on 17 October, police were called to reports of a burglary at the same McColls shop.
Three men had entered the shop carrying kitchen knives and a lump hammer, with one of the men threatening to assault the shop assistant if they didn’t open the tills.
The other men then jumped over the counter and took items from the display, before taking a cash register from one of the shop assistants.
All three men then left the shop with the stolen items and made off in an unknown direction.
