West Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal following an attempted armed robbery in Huddersfield.
The incident occurred in the Paddock area on Monday 11 December at around 5.00pm, in the car park of the Premier Discount Store, when two male suspects rushed over to the victim, a woman in her 40s, and pushed her to the floor.
One of the suspects tried to take the victim’s handbag but she resisted. The suspect then threatened the victim with what is believed to be a baseball bat.
A passer-by intervened causing the suspects to run off towards Clough Lane and the victim was not injured during the incident.
Both suspects are described as males in their early 20s.
