Uri: The Surgical Strike box office collection - ends first week on fantastic note

Director Aditya Dhar's Uri: The Surgical Strike is the first bonafide hit of 2019 and is on its way of becoming a blockbuster at the box office.

Bollywood Life reports that the revenge war drama, featuring Vicky Kaushal in a lead role, has remained rock-steady in the weekdays, which clearly shows that the content has impressed audiences.

Uri: The Surgical Strike raked in Rs 7.40 crore and now stands with the grand total of Rs 70.94 crore. It is all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club in its second week.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the Indian Army's 2016 surgical strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation to the terror attack on an Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. The film is produced under the banner of RSVP and also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina in key roles.
