During a mega event recently, Ranveer Singh and Kabir Khan announced that they are all set to collaborate for a film, ’83, based on the iconic 1983 Cricket World Cup win.
Several cricketers including Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, SS Madanlal, Sandeep Patil, Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Dilip Vengsarkar amongst others attended the event.
They gave them their blessings for the film and after hearing what the film is all about, we are quite excited about this one. And now, the reason for this excitement is even more. Even though the film will not go on floors before the second half of 2018, the release date of ’83 has already been announced.
Yes, the producers, Reliance Entertainment, tweeted that the movie will hit the screens on April 5, 2019. This date has no relation with the World Cup win and it is not a holiday either. But with no film before or after this date till now, the makers expect to give ’83 a decent run at the box office.
