Bollywood classic Mohra, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon, is returning to cinemas in a newly remastered 4K version on 6 November 2026, more than three decades after its original release.

One of Bollywood's most memorable action thrillers is returning to the big screen, with the 1994 blockbuster Mohra set for a theatrical re-release after 32 years.

The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon, will return to cinemas on 6 November 2026 in a newly remastered 4K version.

Directed by Rajiv Rai, Mohra was one of the biggest Hindi-language hits of 1994, combining action, suspense, romance and a hugely popular soundtrack.

Bollywood classic returns in 4K

The re-release will give longtime fans an opportunity to revisit the film in cinemas while introducing the story to a new generation of audiences.

The original film follows a convicted prisoner who becomes caught up in a complex story involving crime, revenge and justice.

Its combination of action sequences, dramatic performances and memorable music helped establish Mohra as a defining Bollywood film of the 1990s.

Remembering Mohra's iconic soundtrack

The film is also remembered for its songs, including Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast and Tip Tip Barsa Paani.

Both tracks became major hits, with the film's music continuing to enjoy recognition decades after its release.

A busy November for Bollywood

The re-release is scheduled for 6 November, the same date as the planned release of Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana: Part 1.

That creates an unusual box-office pairing, with a much-loved Bollywood classic returning alongside a major new production.

For fans of 1990s Hindi cinema, the announcement offers another opportunity to experience a familiar favourite on the big screen.
