Anil Kapoor has the sweetest birthday wish for Padmini Kolhapure

Actor Anil Kapoor says had Padmini Kolhapure not agreed to work with him in ‘Woh 7 Din’, he wouldn’t have been where he is today. Padmini Kolhapure turned 52 today. On her birthday Anil shared a photograph from the 1983 film ‘Woh 7 Din’ and captioned it, "Happy birthday to my first leading lady Padmini Kolhapure! It’s because she agreed to do ‘Woh 7 Din’ that I am where I am today!"

Directed by Bapu, ‘Woh 7 Din’ revolves around Dr. Anand who learns that his newly-wedded bride Maya loves someone else. He decides to reunite the two lovers at any cost and begins to search for the man.

Padmini Kolhapure has been a prominent part of the film industry for decades. She has also tried her luck in the Marathi film industry. Padmini made her television debut with Sony TV’s daily soap Ekk Nayi Pehchaan in the year 2014. The actor was appreciated for her bold rape scene in the film ‘Insaf Ka Tarazu’ as she took up such a hard-hitting role at the age of 15. She also bagged a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film.

Anil Kapoor, who was last seen in Mubarakan alongside his nephew Arjun Kapoor, is currently working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the upcoming film Fanney Khan. The musical comedy also stars Rajkummar Rao and is being directed by Atul Manjrekar.
