Two men have been arrested in connection with three arson attacks in Tameside.
Shortly before 12:20am on 25 December, the fire service responded to reports that a Seat Ibiza had been set on fire on Clayton Street.
The following day, police were called to the same street to reports that a house was on fire at around 12:45am.
Emergency services attended and found the property and two cars on the street outside ablaze.
One of the cars was the same Seat Ibiza which had been targeted the previous day, whilst the second was a Seat Leon.
Police responded to the third arson attack at around 1.40am on 18 January after being called by the fire service to a house fire on Callington Close.
Two offenders forced entry to the front of the house and set fire to the property before they fled.
Nobody was injured during any of these attacks which are believed the be linked.
On Tuesday 23 January Greater Manchester Police executed two warrants in the Hyde area and arrested two men – aged 22 and 26 – on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
