The incident is reported to have taken place on Sunday 30 August 2026, between approximately 8.30pm and 10.15pm, on Manchester Road.
The two women were standing near a bus stop close to the Paprika restaurant when the alleged incident occurred.

The second woman is described as having brown hair and wearing a black coat with a fur hood, black trousers and white trainers.
Police believe the women were together at the time.
The appeal is directed towards the two women as potential witnesses to the reported incident. Neither has been identified publicly.

Police have not released a description of the man involved or provided details of any arrests.
