Detectives from the Police Scotland Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation after a man was killed in the Royston area of Glasgow, on Monday 10 April 2017.
At around 3.30am, police and emergency services responded to reports of a disturbance within a property in Roystonhill in Glasgow. A 51-year-old man was found seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. It has been reported that his injuries are consistent with the use of a weapon.
The man has been named as Andrew Salina. Officers are in the process of conducting door-to-door enquiries in an effort to find out additional information and are also assessing opportunities to capture CCTV in the local area.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Livingstone, from the Major Investigation Team based at Govan, said: “I am asking for the assistance of the local community to come forward with any information you may have. We understand that three men were seen entering the area in a small light coloured car and were seen leaving the area in the same vehicle following the alleged incident.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Detectives at the incident room at Govan Police Station on 101.
