A man who crashed into a police car and assaulted an officer in Glasgow has been banned from driving.
Albbari Arshad, was stopped by an unmarked police car, on 9 April 2016, as he caused the officers to take evasive action to avoid a collision when he broke sharply.
The 35-year-old tried to manoeuvre into a space but then struck the police car. On exiting his vehicle he swung an arm, striking a female police officer on the face.
He was taken to Cathcart police office where he refused to take a breath test as requested.
He has been sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Court to undergo 180 hours of community service, and has been disqualified from driving for 44 months.
