Travellers are being warned of major road works being carried out by Bradford Council in the next few weeks.
Carriageway resurfacing is planned between 27 June and 25 July 2021. The areas are:
A650 Wakefield Road, (outbound carriageway only), between entrance slip road to Dudley Hill Roundabout to exit slip road onto Tong Street. Wakefield Road will be closed on Sundays 27 June and 4 July between 7.30am and 7.00pm.
A658 Otley Road/Northcote Road Junction resurfacing will commence Tuesday 6 July for three consecutive days between 9.30am to 3.30pm. Northcote Road will be closed at Otley Road along with Otley Road Southwest bound closed at Killinghall Road. Northeast bound traffic will be unaffected. Diversions will be in place.
A6176 Bolton Road/Idle Road Junction resurfacing is planned for Sunday 11 and Sunday 18 July between 7.30am and 7.00pm under temporary two-way traffic lights. Idle Road will be closed at its junction with Bolton Road.
A6177 Sticker Lane between 3 Singhs restaurant to Fred’s Place will commence 5 July for two consecutive days between 9.30am and 3.30pm under temporary two-way traffic lights.
Shipley Airedale Road. Between Harris Street and Croft Street Southbound carriageway only. Resurfacing is planned under lane closures on Sunday 25 July between 5.00am and 7.00pm. Diversions will be in place.
Long delays are expected while the work is being carried out and travellers are advised to seek alternative routes during these essential works if possible.
Road signs will be erected indicating the dates and times for the road closures.
A spokesperson for Bradford Council said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by these essential repairs and we hope to complete as soon as possible, weather permitting, to keep delays to a minimum.
