Nusrat Ghani became the first female Muslim minister to stand at the despatch box at the House of Commons on Thursday 18 January.
Ms Ghani is a Pakistani-British Conservative Party politician who is the Member of Parliament for Wealden in East Sussex. She is the minister for the Department for Transport.
