An elderly pedestrian was hit by car in Horbury.
The incident occurred at around 7.35pm yesterday, 24 October, on Twitch Hill at the junction with High Street, when a 79-year-old man was walking out of Horbury town centre.
A red Suzuki Alto was travelling from Cluntergate onto Twitch Hill, when it collided with the man as he crossed the road.
The pedestrian suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the Suzuki stopped at the scene.
