A Bradford man has been sentenced to 20 months in prison after he drove at high speeds through the streets of Manningham.
Mohammed Hussain Ramzan, 26, of Victor Street, Manningham, was pursued by police after repeatedly exceeding the speed limit while driving Seat Leon during the evening of June 26 last year.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Ramzan led police on a chase across the district, taking sharp turns and speeding in a bid to outrun police, only coming to a stop once his route became blocked.
He was found hiding in a garden on Chatsworth Place.
Addressing Ramzan on the incident, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall said: “You are 26 and have a very bad record.
“You have appeared in crown court since 2012 and straight away have received significant sentences for burglary, a theft and a further burglary and then robbery.
“When you were caught dangerous driving on a summer’s evening you were disqualified and on licence, and unfortunately yet again driving dangerously.”
Ramzan was sentenced to 20 months in prison for offences related to the dangerous driving incident.
