Detectives in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Tuesday 2 August when a 36-year-old man was assaulted on New North Road, near to the junction of Norfolk Close by another man.
The victim received facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as being an Asian male in his 20s.
Detective Constable Carla Senior of Kirklees CID said; "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around New North Road and Norfolk Close on Tuesday evening and may have witnessed the assault or who has any information to come forward.
"Information can be passed to myself at Huddersfield CID on 101, or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
