Police Uncover £2 Million Cannabis Farm at Bradford Property

A 45-year-old man has been charged following the discovery of an industrial-scale cannabis farm worth an estimated £2 million at a property in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police uncovered the large-scale operation at premises on Little Horton Lane during an investigation led by officers from the Bradford City Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The operation was supported by colleagues from Bradford West, as part of the force's ongoing efforts to tackle drug production and organised crime across the district.

Man charged following discovery

Police have confirmed that Nam Bao, aged 45, has been charged with production of a Class B drug.

He has been remanded in custody.

The cannabis farm, which police estimate to be worth approximately £2 million, was described as an industrial-scale growing operation.

The discovery represents a significant intervention by officers working to disrupt illegal drug production in Bradford.

Police warn organised criminals

Sergeant Coleman, from Team 1 City Neighbourhood Policing Team, said tackling cannabis production remains a major priority for West Yorkshire Police.

He said:

"Cannabis is a harmful drug and tackling its production remains a significant priority for West Yorkshire Police."

The sergeant praised officers for their continued work targeting those involved in organised criminal activity.

He added:

"My officers remain dedicated to disrupting serious and organised crime and will pursue prosecution against those who choose to break the law."

Police also issued a warning to individuals involved in illegal drug cultivation, stressing that officers will continue identifying properties used for such operations and bringing suspects before the courts.

Sergeant Coleman said:

"To those involved in these illicit activities, our message is clear: we will find you, we will seize the drugs, and we will put you before the courts."

Tackling crime in Bradford

West Yorkshire Police say the operation demonstrates their continued commitment to disrupting organised crime, protecting communities and improving public safety.

The discovery forms part of wider policing efforts to target illegal drug production across Bradford and surrounding areas.
