A woman was knocked unconscious whilst walking on a Kirklees footpath.
Detectives in Dewsbury are appealing for information following the violent assault.
The incident occurred on 10 June at around 11:30pm on a footpath off Grange Avenue, in Thornhill, which is known locally as 'The Tops'.
An 18-year-old female was walking along the path when she was approached by a male suspect.
The suspect assaulted the woman, which left her unconscious. She suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50-60-years-old, of medium build, with a receding hairline at the front and shaved at the back. He was wearing jeans, a green jacket and some glasses. He was walking a white and black dog, similar to a spaniel, which was off the lead at the time.
