The official Ilkley flag has been raised for this year’s Tour de Yorkshire.
Local school pupils, residents and businesses attended a ceremony in the town centre today (19 April), to help celebrate the race coming to the district on 4 and 6 May.
Stage 2 of this year’s Tour de Yorkshire will have a summit finish at the Cow and Calf Rocks in Ilkley on Friday 4 May. The town will also see the women’s race finish in the same place on the same day.
Stage 4 will be going through Oxenhope, Haworth, Oakworth and Laycock with a ‘King of the Mountains’ section at Goose Eye on Sunday 6 May.
