A teenager has been found guilty by a jury of making a homemade explosive but not guilty of a terrorism offence.
The 17-year-old claimed he never intended to use the bomb; however he did admit to wanting to scare people, by sharing offensive posts and comments on social media, Leeds Crown Court heard.
He told court, “I find it easier to shock people, than have a proper conversation.”
The teenager who can’t be named because of legal reasons will be sentenced on the 13th of February.
