A teenager was detained following a search for a knifeman in Manchester’s Chinatown.
Armed police combed the area yesterday (20 August) afternoon following reports of a man carrying a knife.
An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Greater Manchester Police said no one was injured and that enquiries into exactly what had occurred were ongoing.
