Six men from Halifax have been convicted following a West Yorkshire Police investigation into non-recent child sexual offences.
Six men from Halifax have been convicted following a major investigation into non-recent child sexual offences by West Yorkshire Police.
The offences were investigated by specialist safeguarding officers and the case was heard at Leeds Crown Court.
Those convicted were:

Mohammed Adnan, aged 44, from Halifax – found guilty of one count of sexual assault.

Mohammed Shebhan, aged 42, from Halifax – found guilty of two counts of rape.

Amazar Ali, aged 53, from Halifax – found guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a child.

Naveed Anjum, aged 49, from Halifax – found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child.

Imran Hussain, aged 50, from Halifax – found guilty of attempted rape.

Adal Manaf, aged 48, from Halifax – found guilty of one count of rape.
Police said the convictions followed a detailed investigation into offences committed a number of years ago.
Detectives praised the bravery of the victim for coming forward and supporting the investigation and court proceedings.
Officers added that they remain committed to investigating both recent and non-recent sexual offences and encouraged anyone affected by abuse to report it to police.
