Runners dug deep to complete the annual World Coal Carrying Championships.
The competition, which began in 1963, takes place every Easter Monday in the village of Gawthorpe, near to Wakefield.
Competitors where timed over one kilometre – carrying 50kg for men and 20kg for women.
