Officers were called to a housing estate in Manchester to reports of a person seen wielding a machete and a gun.
Police attended Bennett Street off Hyde Road in west Gorton at around 2.30pm on Sunday 29 April.
A damaged vehicle was discovered but it is believed the people involved in the disturbance fled the scene.
No injuries and no weapons were discovered but an investigation has been launched.
