Police are appealing for information after an explosion in Bury.
Shortly after 11:50pm on Sunday 4 September 2016 police were called to Harris Drive, Unsworth to reports of an explosion.
Officers attended and found a car with extensive damage.
Nobody was injured during the incident and enquiries are on-going.
Superintendent Rick Jackson, of GMP’s Bury borough, said: “I understand that an incident like this will cause concern in the local area and I want to reassure the community that we have increased patrols in response.”
“Our investigation is at early stage and we are following a number of lines of enquiry, but we believe that this was a targeted attack that poses no threat to the wider community.”
