Police have said they will not carry out an investigation into the expenses claims of former Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive Sir Gary Verity.
At the time of his resignation, Welcome to Yorkshire said Sir Gary resigned on health grounds but an investigation found he had "made errors of judgement regarding his expenses".
It is understood he paid back £40,000 before leaving his post at the tourism company.
Welcome to Yorkshire announced it would commission two independent investigations into his tenure at the organisation, which has received millions of pounds of public funding.
West Yorkshire Police said it would await the findings of an independent investigation.
