A group of Bradford GP practices has been nominated for a national award for their anticoagulation service - a service that reduces peoples’ chance of developing blood clots.
Affinity Care has been nominated in the Anticoagulation Achievement Awards in a category that recognises the best and most comprehensive services in the country for atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia).
The group has provided a community-based anticoagulation service for local patients for over 15 years.
The awards ceremony will be held in the House of Commons on 10 October 2018 when the winners will be announced.
