A mother jumped 20 feet from an upstairs window after being threatened and beaten up by her son.
The incident which took place, last year in October left, Ranjinder Kaur of Leeds Road, Eccleshill, Bradford, with a fractured pelvis, a swollen face and four broken vertebra.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday how Ranvir Aujla assaulted his mother and threatened to kill her with a kitchen knife after waking her up in the middle of the night, demanding for cooked food.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm to his mother.
Aujla has been ordered not to contact family members and to avoid going to jail, he must cut his alcohol intake, provide a positive report from his GP, find settled accommodation and an encouraging report from his probation officer.
