Shortly after 6am on Thursday 5 April, police were called to reports that a motorcycle had collided with roadworks on Wigan Lane.
A red Honda 997cc motorbike had been traveling through roadworks on Wigan Lane heading towards the town centre, when the man riding it fell from his bike.
