A man has been detained under the Mental Health Act in connection with the rape of a woman outside of a church in Stockport.
At around 8.05am on Monday 24 December 2018, police were called to reports that a woman in her 30s had been raped outside a church on Churchgate in Stockport.
A 44-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of rape and detained under the Mental Health Act.
A 57-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of rape, has been released under investigation.
