A man has been arrested after a number of car windows were smashed in a rampage on an Oldham street.
Residents of Huddersfield Road woke on Monday 6 August to find at least 13 vehicles had been targeted, with one having had a traffic cone smashed through the window.
A serving police officer who lives nearby attempted to apprehend the offender but was punched in the face. Witnesses said the man also smashed a van window and stole the vehicle.
Greater Manchester Police said a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, assault and robbery in Oldham town centre.
