Major resurfacing work is planned by Bradford Council on a slip road to the M606 in Bradford.
The section of road being resurfaced is approximately 100m of the A6177 Chase Way where it joins the top of the M606 at Staithgate Roundabout.
The work is planned to start at 9.30am on Wednesday 15 August and is expected to be completed by around 3pm.
The road will be closed and access to the M606 from the A6177 will be by a signed diversion via Staithgate roundabout and onto the M606 slip road.
People are advised to expect long delays due to the disruption, avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
A spokesperson for Bradford Council, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately the works have to be done. Given the heavy usage of this road at all times, we have organised the works so they are taking place off peak. The resurfacing at this roundabout is necessary and although it is planned to take place outside of rush hour and during the school summer holidays, it is still expected to cause disruption. We are advising people to use alternative routes and to avoid the area if possible.”
