Sewing for Our NHS Heroes - Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust was setup after hearing from Doctors and Nurses on the frontline that they were quickly running low on supplies
A facebook group has been setup by a woman in Leeds to help the NHS
Dippi, who works as support staff at St. James Hospital decided to sew some uniform bags and headbands to help out.
She realised that no one else had setup a group in Leeds that she knew of, that's why Sewing for Our NHS Heroes - Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust was setup.
Dippi has asked the community to come together at this time. So far more than 200 people have joined the group.
"We are appealing for people to donate cotton fabric ideally Blue for scrubs or anything that can be spared for uniform bags, headbands, scrub caps and mask extenders.
We are running on donations and we have delivered over 300 items so far. We have requests coming in everyday but we dont have the materials to meet demand, you can help us in anyway even if you can spread the word we appreciate it."
Anyone wishing to help can join the Facebook group - Sewing for Our NHS Heroes - Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust
We at Sunrise Radio wish Dippi the best of luck and ask all our listeners to join the group.
