A drug dealer who was found with loaded guns and ammunition at his home has been jailed for 12 years.
West Midlands Police recovered the deadly pistols and more than 120 bullets from Sundeep Khatkar’s house in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.
Officers discovered the loaded 9mm Heckler and Koch and 8mm RG800 automatic pistols in a search of the property on 20 February this year.
A stun gun and cocaine and crack cocaine, valued at more than £60,000 were also seized; along with cash, mobile phones and scales.
Khatkar, aged 33, of Walsall Road, Sutton Coldfield, admitted seven charges relating to the possession of firearms, ammunition and class A drugs with intent to supply. He was jailed at Birmingham Crown Court.
Detective Constable Peter Miller, from Force CID, said: "We take all investigations involving firearms extremely seriously.
"There is no place in society for guns and ammunition, the purpose of which are only to kill or cause harm.
"West Midlands Police is committed to removing guns and drugs from the streets and will prosecute offenders with the full force of the law.
"We will now be carrying out further investigations under the Proceeds of Crime Act to regain Khatkar’s ill-gotten gains to ensure he does not retain any profit from his drug dealing."
The force has insisted there will be no let-up in the drive to take guns and gun criminals off the region’s streets.
In the first two months of this year, West Midlands Police has made almost 80 firearms related arrests and recovered 38 firearms.
Anyone with information about drugs or guns in their area can contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
