Three people found dead at an address in Leeds appear to have died as a result of a fire.
Post-mortem examinations were conducted yesterday (28/3) on the two women and a man who were found at the house in East Park Street, East End Park, on Saturday after police received a call at 11.46am, raising concerns for the occupants.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Scott, of West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "The initial indications from the post-mortem examinations are that all three people appear to have died as a result of a fire that started in the living room at the address.
"We are still treating the deaths as unexplained at this stage and are continuing to make extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
"We are not yet in a position to formally confirm the identities of those involved but we have informed the families of the occupants of the address and are providing support at what is clearly a very difficult time for them.
"We believe the fire and the resulting deaths have occurred overnight Friday into Saturday, and we would like to hear from anyone who has seen the occupants of the property or witnessed anything suspicious around that time."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team via 101 quoting log number 538 of March 27 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
