Police in Manchester are no longer treating the death of a woman in Salford as suspicious.
A murder investigation had been launched following the discovery of a body in a car outside of a house on Bolbury Crescent in Swinton on Monday evening (14 January).
Greater Manchester Police said a post mortem examination has since revealed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
A 44-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.
Detective Inspector Chris Mannion, of GMP’s Salford borough, said: “Dedicated officers have followed extensive lines of enquiry following the death of this woman but we are no longer treating this as a murder investigation.
“Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family at what is an incredibly sad time.”
