New figures released by West Yorkshire Police show that there has been a large increase since 2012, from 181 crimes in that year to 1,002 in 2016.
Children under 10 cannot be legally responsible for a crime but the police do record them in statistics.
The most common offence was violent crime with 540 instances recorded in 2016, a 750% increase on the 63 such offences by under 10s recorded in 2014.
