A gang who terrorised Bury by committing a series of knifepoint robberies within just a few hours of one another have been sentenced.
Two boys from the Cheetham Hill area, aged 16 and 17 and who cannot be named, along with Abdullah Chaudhry, 19, of Park Road, Prestwich have all been sentenced for their varying roles in a series of incidents across the district in September and November 2018.
The many offences included car-jacking and demanding cash at knifepoint. In one incident a card stolen during a robbery was later found to have been used to order pizzas to the value £183.
The 16-year-old and the 17-year-old were sentenced to a two year and three year detention order respectively after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery.
Chaudhry was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to the same charge.
